Development Society believes that business power can be one of the effective tools to address the social problems of rising rate of unemployment and slow progress in poverty reduction. To put the idea into action we partnered with the M/S. Kutir Shilpa – a handicraft manufacturing company who produces and markets hand-made cotton weaved carpets with traditional motif. We mobilize young women for hands-on training on weaving, provide space for training & design as per customers choice and assist the company in marketing the products in the urban centers.
